My 2022 Paper Fashion

This fashion is made out of 99% Neenah brand paper! I created it and walked the runway for the 2022 annual Paper Fashion Show Denver. This year’s theme was “chiaroscuro”. My intention of my piece was to challenge the patriarchy and the commercial wedding complex. The style was inspired by traditional wedding dresses, cake, and flowers, raven feathers, vintage funeral veils, and 18th century Italian paintings. The art includes a dress, a funeral veil and a bouquet of flowers, all made out of paper. Photo of me in my dress by James deWitt.
