Thank you to the Denver Architecture Foundation and the Colorado Photographic Arts Center for selecting my photos for the 2021 and the 2022 exhibition. You can see the full online exhibitions here and maybe get some ideas of where to explore in Denver: 2021 exhibition and 2022 exhibition.
I enjoyed an interesting architecture tour and talk by Darrin Alfred, Curator of Architecture, Design, & Graphics at the Denver Art Museum. This FUN experience was designed by Brian Corrigan of Futures United Network.
A few things I learned:
~The North Building is getting its face-lift by @fentressarchitects and @machadosilvetti.
~It is the only completed Gio Ponte building in North America.
~It uses 1 million tiles! .
~Custom curved glass will be used for the welcome center.
~Gio Ponte originally wanted a castle like moat around building.
~This was the first high rise art museum building in U.S.
~Gio Ponte liked diamond shapes (notice the diamond and other window shapes.).
~The rooftop will have amazing views of the Rockies.
